Around The World In 80 Pictures
Around The World In 80 Pictures is a solo exhibition of paintings, drawings and photographs by Glasgow artist Gordon Davidson. The exhibition, due to run at Seagull Gallery in Gourock, Inverclyde throughout November 2006, is sponsored by Fyne Studios Loch Fyne, Scotland, and Photo Processing by Strathclyde University, Glasgow. Gordon Davidson studied at the Glasgow Shool of Art and since leaving has travelled to some weird and wonderful parts of the world. Around The World In 80 Pictures traces Gordon's 20 years of travelling, in sketches, drawings, photographs and paintings. The exhibition will have taken him to North America, South America, Africa, Europe and Asia ... and by the time the show comes around it will have taken Gordon a year to put together. Documentry For the past 18 months a Documentry team from Keeper Productions has been following the making of this exhibition, including Gordon's work in Peru and Morocco. The one hour film produced will be previewed at the opening of the exhibition at Seagull Gallery on Saturday October 28, 2006 12noon - 5pm. DVD copies of the Documentary will be available for sale at £15 each.
