Harbour Arts Centre, Inrvine This is the first time Keith Salmon and Alison Thomas are exhibiting together in a joint-show ... with a selection of some 40 paintings between them. The two artists present a wide variety of style, techniques, mediums and grounds for you to appreciate and enjoy. - Most of the work on show is available for sale.
Alison Thomas is a working artist based at Courtyard Studios, Harbourside, Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland. Alison studied textiles at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee from 1992-1996.
In this exhibition, Alison Thomas explores an interest in texture using unusual materials such as sand, plaster and dried leaves. Some of her work involves the use of gold and silver leaf - giving a precious feel to each piece. A harmonious combination of bold colours and simple compositions is prominent on her paintings, mono prints and handmade felt pieces.

Alison Thomson was Born in Irvine, Ayrshire, Scotland. She has been painting and exhibiting successfully since graduating from Dundee’s Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art ... ''It feels extra good when I'm showing in my Home Town.''
